Photography

Running alongside my technical career is a creative one. It started with wildlife photography and grew from there — into film-set work, events, portraiture, and eventually video, audio, and design. After a few quieter years, it’s something I’m actively getting back into.

My first photographic love was — and still is — wildlife. That’s where it began, and it’s the eye I bring to everything else: patience, anticipation, and waiting for the moment. From there I moved behind the scenes in the North London film industry as a Behind-The-Scenes (BTS) photographer, which opened doors into the industry itself — Runner, Boom Operator, Camera Operator, and eventually Assistant Director and Second Unit Director. Along the way I picked up event and portrait work, and the design and desktop-publishing skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) that come with promoting yourself.

Founded in 2010 (originally as Alopex Productions), TFindley Photography has been through several phases over the years. Rooted in wildlife, it grew a long portfolio across film-set photography, events, portraiture, and sports — a Farnborough-based practice built on a personal, customer-focused approach and a lot of repeat clients.

I spent two years doing promotional photography for the UK Wolf Conservation Trust, with my shots used in their quarterly publication and in promotional material around the site.
