Finally got to ride the amazing BMW 1200GS today at @rykascafe (the non adventure version ~ I’m a short~arse so I can’t ride the full adventure one)
A really incredible bike. Such a smooth easy ride. Really responsive. Easy to handle. Loads and loads of torque in all the right places for a bike of this category. The new computer display is super easy to read. The front screen on this bike allows you to ride along at around 60mph with your visor open.
My only complaint is that while it’s smaller I do miss the look of that full frame around the body, which means you also miss out on the extra fog lights for that traditional triangle light formation for which the GS is known.
I’d happily trade in both of my bikes for one of these and just ride it all year round.
Big shout out and thanks to the good folks AT Vines BMW Guildford @vinesbmwbikes for organising the BMW Rideout weekend, and of course @rykascafe for hosting.
